UKRC is the UK's leading organisation for the provision of advice, services and policy consultation regarding the under-representation of women in science, engineering, technology and the built environment (SET). They work with employers, professional bodies, education institutions, women's organisations and networks, policy institutes, sector skills councils, the government, and many others, to promote gender equality in SET.
The SET Fair Standard is the UK’s first industry award specifically aimed at achieving gender equality in the workplace. It gives public recognition for good practice and excellence in tackling gender inequality in the workplace. In 2010 CGL was very proud to be the first SME in the UK to achieve the UKRC’s ‘SET Fair Standard’ Award, recognising us as industry leaders in addressing gender equality in the science, engineering, technology and the built environment sectors of UKplc. Our contribution will continue in 2012 as we have been proud to have been chosen to provide a case study for an EU Gender Equality Toolbox by UKRC for use throughout the European Union.
