Railway Maintenance Depot, England

Client: Confidential

The rail maintenance depot is being upgraded by demolishing current infrastructure and rebuilding a new maintenance'shed' with adjoining office space.  Historic use has led to soil contamination.

Directly below the site is a major aquifer, of significant importance to the drinking water supply. It was essential that construction activities did not create anyrisk of contaminating the groundwater.

We undertook site investigations to provide geotechnical design and ground contamination data, risk assessments, produced method statements and monitored groundwater during construction.
