The two volumes of ICE Manual of Geotechnical Engineering edited by Professor John Burland et al will be published on the 16th January 2012.
It is described as an authoritative and comprehensive reference resource, providing the core geotechnical engineering principles and practical techniques, having been “written and edited by a wide selection of leading specialists”. It will be the seminal guide for geotechnical engineers around the world for years to come and the contributing authors in various technical fields have been specifically recognised by their peers for the contributions they make.
We, at CGL, are delighted to have authored an extensive chapter on ‘Contamination Investigation and Testing Strategy’ for such an august reference manual which has world wide appeal. Chapter authors Nick Langdon, Jo Strange and Cathy Lee drew on their earlier efforts from the ICE Design and Practice Guide on Contaminated Land as well as their current practice, updating and focussing on key areas for the practitioner.
CGL will continue to aspire to contributing to the industry at the highest level in the years to come. |
